Viking® Artificial Ice Rinks
Viking Ice® is a unique proven product that simulates all the characteristics of real ice. Made from high density polymer ethylene, it consist of an inner core of laminated ply with an outer surface of the plastic on both sides. Tinted with a natural ice colour throughout, this gliding surface provides high resistance to abrasion and skate nicks. It is the only artificial ice surface recommended by Robin Cousins and Nicky Slater and is now available in interior and exterior grades.
It's primarily used for recreational ice skating, figure skating, hockey, ice stock and roller skating (Not roller blading). It is adaptable to many applications, from permanent installations, to shows, exhibitions, promotions, events and television etc.
Unlike similar surfaces which use a glycol or similar dressing, Viking Ice® requires only a light spray of silicone weekly to maintain performance characteristics when dry. The rink requires a light mopping daily to maintain a clean surface.
